Unexpected encounters

MorningGlory steadied her pace. She looked around. The white furred she cat was on the look out for some tansy. She looked up to the silver pelt. "What a beautiful day."she said in delight.

Snakekit stalked a butterfly. his tiny tail stuck up in the air like a flagpole. his Blueish brown eyes sparkled with an adventureous spirit. his whiskers shoved forwarde in a cat smile he continued stalking the large monarch butterfly. his claws sunk into the peaty ground as he continued along rathere cautiously. with a thrust of his back paws he hurtled through the air and caught the butterfly under his paws. he was right infront of the white shecat

MorningGlory smiled. She gave the kit to pats on the head. "What are you doing out, young one?"she asked with glittering blue eyes. She looked around. "A duskclan kit?"she tilted her head.

As soon as he saw the white cat he bushed up his fur as far as it could go making him look like a fuzzy hedgehog. he yowled "im snakekit of duskclan! im the mightest kit AND the biggest". He was quite a big kit for one of only just six moons. he looked more like an eight moon kit.

Morning's eyes shone with amusement. "OK. I'm MorningGlory, the medicine cat of FrostClan."said the stunning she cat. She giggled. "Training will be soon for you little one."she smiled.

"oh! is that why your fur is all fluffy Morningglory?". He tilted his head and said proudly "i might be given to the next deputy so that they can be deputy!". He grinned and lashed his tail, seeing it out of the corner of hsi eye he began chasing it.

The tom confidently stalked along, his head held high, his belly was full and he was content. As usually he stalked the outer areas along the border of the clan territories, watching the activities of the clans as he went about his life. They intrigued him, the clan cats, after all why wouldn't they, he was a descendant of one of them. Suddenly the sound of voices caused him to stop, the cat perked his ears and made his way toward the noise. he recognized one of the voices as Morninglory, but one, a younger sounding tom, perhaps a kit, was new. The scent of Duskclan and Frostclan mixed telling him that this young feline belonged to the near by clan.

The kit was large, perhaps eight moons, yet the kit acted and carried himself as one much younger. he hadn't been trained as a Warrior yet, he didn't even show any signs of the knowledge needed to survive that would begin to be taught to him at the age of six moons. Quietly the tom waited for either of the two to notice him, his tail swaying slowly from side to side.

"I'm fluffy because I am."she chuckled. "How nice."she smiled. "I'm sure they would be pleased to get such a ferocious but cute big kit."she said. Her ears perked and she turned around. "Hello Silentstreak. Pleasure to meet you again."she smiled.

snakekit bounced over to the new cat "are you from frostclan too fluffy?" He asked inquisitivley. his tail lashed from side to side as he said "im six moons old and called Snakekit my apprentice ceremony is soon!". he wilted a little at the look that the cat was giving him. it was like the look that the cats in Duskclan gave him. the 'what on earth are you' kind.

The tom raised an eye brow, he wasn't very fluffy. The tom gave the kit little mind, he was just another cat in his eyes, a kit to be exact. He did however pay attention to Morninglory. "Good day Morninglory, it's nice to see you as well." he replied curtly, giving a small nod. Sitting the tom flicked his tail over his paws, sparing the odd colored kit a glance before turning his gaze back to Morninglor. " So, are you now kit-sitting rival clan kits?"

The young savannah cat didnt take kindly to being ignored and promptly gave a loud snake like hiss. he turned and stomped off and began pawing at rocks. his ears back. eyes glittering.

"Not really."she said. MorningGlory frowned as the kit stormed off. "Looks like he dislikes being ignored."she said. She pondered if she should go get him back or just wait for the kit. She decided to go fetch him. "It's alright."she said as she padded over to Snakekit. "He is just like that sometimes. He's much nicer once you get to know him."she said.

Snakekit gave Morningglory a look "its against the medicine cat code for medicine cats to have mates" he informed her. from the way that silentstreak had greeted morningglory he thought that they were mates. he fluffed out his fur and began scuffing the ground.

The tom made a choking sound that evolved into a deep chuckle." I am not mates with Morninglory." he stated, sounding rather horrified at the thought. a second later he smiled realizing the kit had gotten him to talk. "I am more of an acquaintance, I met her once in the swamp. " An ear twitched as he watched the two felines, giving a shrug he decided that today he'd lose the silent statue act.

Morning laughed. "No. We aren't mates."she smiled. "Come over."she said and padded over to Silentstreak. "Silentstreak, Snakekit."she introduced. "Snakekit, Silentstreak." she smiled.

Snakekit made his way over to silentstreak eyeing him up with his big eyes. he flicked his tail and said "the pleasures all yours". he sat down and began licking his chest with his tongue. irritably grooming out his fluffy kit pelt.

MorningGlory gave a little embarrassed laugh. (Like the ones in anime when they aren't really laughing. Like eh heh heh...... laugh) "Well, this has been good so far."she said with a face -- ^-^'" The she cat smoothed down her fur.

(Morninglory we don't include ^-^, also explaining your laughter could be as easy as saying an uneasy or fake laugh used to cover up her embarrassment or discomfort with the rather awkward situation. Sorry for taking so long, been a busy week.)

Silent raised an eye brow at the kit's words, this kits seemed to know what was up already picking the she-cat out as the better of the two adult felines declaring that the rogue was honored to have met her. Either that or he was full of himself as saying it was an honor for the rogue to have met him, either way the tom ignored the jib as he addressed Morninglory. "I assume you're out here searching for herbs and this kit, escaping his camp bumped into you." His words were not posed as a question, " It won't be long before the clan cats realize he is missing and come searching for him. It is after all, against your 'warrior code' for kits to leave a camp." His knowledge of the clan's would have been a surprise for either of the cats, after all Warriors did not go sharing their code or daily activities with strangers. Neither would have known his father had been a clan cat and had taught him many things.

MorningGlory nodded. She looked to Snakekit. "Well...this is rather...unexpected."she said.
